Connectivity with the National highway-4(NH-4)has played a patriotic and vital role in the early freedom movement.
It is well known for Fort and Hill station (being the headquarters of the district administration).
This historic place was ruled by the famous Palegar King Raja Veera Madakari Nayaka.
The Esteemed society That is Devaraj Urs Education Society ®) was established in 1982-83 and successfully running bunch of educational institutions to cater the needs of students not only in the district but also from all major cities of the state and also from adjacent states of Karnataka like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan Etc…
Society was established by the founder secretary Sri M Chandrappa, a humble educationist in order to provide education to all the sections of the society especially for economically and socially backward groups of the state. Since the initial days society had a splendid result oriented and many of our intellectuals were serving in society and they are satisfied. It has produced splendid results from its inception and hopes to achieve greater glory in the future.
Society has its own principles, policy and planning to cater the needs of the modern education system. Society has a number of key themes in education for sustainable development and dominant focus on environmental concerns, citizenship, peace, discipline, ethics, human rights, equality and corporate responsibility.
Devaraj Urs Education Society caters to the demands of the society in Education teaching, Health sciences, Technology and in many more fields.
